Christophe Michalak The Pastry King of His Generation

Christophe Michalak became one of the world’s youngest pastry chefs when he received the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie in 2005.

As one of the top high profile pastry chefs in France, Christophe Michalak has shared tons of recipe books and hosted TV programs featuring his pastries. In 2013,he was not only elected as 2013 Pastry Chef of the Year, but also set up a pastry training school called ‘Michalak’s Master Class” in Paris. In his master classes, you can learn how to make macarons, kosmiks, and many other pastries.

The Kosmiks are my favorites. They come in a small glass jar and contain the flavors and textures of pastries, without the fancy decoration. What’s impressive about these treats is that the recipe uses less sugar and less fat, so they are pretty much guilt-free!

Christophe Michalak is also opening a new store this summer at Saint Germain Des Prés, and will be sharing more information about the new opening in the coming months.

Meanwhile if you don’t live in Paris and you are just like me, watching the website and thinking when will be my next trip to enjoy all his new cakes you can order a few things on his e-shop.
