Central Park Conservancy05.08.17
Held yearly in the mist of the spring season, the Women’s Committee and the Board of Trustees of the Central Park Conservancy, a private, non-profit organization that manages Central Park, hosted the 35th annual Frederick Law Olmsted Awards luncheon.
To celebrate this anniversary, every guest was encouraged to wear their finest, and most creative hats to this year’s luncheon, then were seated under an elegant white tent on a beautiful spring day in Central Park. The Women’s Committee presumed to raise at least $5million for a larger project to restore the park’s Conservatory garden at this year’s luncheon.
This year’s gathering was especially an important one, as the primary mission is to preserve, maintain, and bring awareness to green spaces within urban areas such as New York City. It’s one of my favorite luncheons.
